HOUSTON – A male suspect gave residents a scare after they say he was running through their yards naked in southwest Houston overnight.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers received several call around midnight early Wednesday about a naked male jumping fences, going into people's backyards and standing around.

This occurred near Rosebriar Drive and Bazelbriar Lane in a neighborhood not far from the Fort Bend Toll Road.

A homeowner confronted him in his backyard, and the suspect got aggressive. That is when the homeowner pulled his gun and shot once at the suspect.

The suspect took off running through the fence and out the front yard into the street. The suspect stopped and was acting crazy in the middle of the street.

That is when HPD arrived at the scene, and they tried to detain him to find out what was going on. The suspect resisted and fought with the officers, so one of them pulled his Taser and stunned him once.

The suspect went to the ground. He was transported to the hospital to be checked out. Police believed he must have been on some type of drug.

No other injuries were reported.
