HOUSTON – Police are investigating a burglary at the Gallery Furniture store along the North Freeway after they say a pair of suspects stole an ATM Tuesday morning.

According to the Houston Police Department, it happened around 5 a.m. at the store located in the 6000 block of the North Freeway.

Investigators said overnight cleaning crews heard a loud noise and noticed the back door had been pried open. They then saw the two male suspects using a power saw on the ATM at the Woodforest Bank branch inside the store.

The suspects grabbed the ATM and ran out the door, police said. They then threw the machine over the fence in the back of the store.

Investigators said it appears that the suspects loaded the ATM into a truck and drove off.

No arrests have been made at this time. Police said it is an ongoing investigation.
