GALVESTON, Texas — A Galveston police officer arrested earlier this year for indecency with a child has been indicted by a grand jury.
Officer Dion Watson is on administrative leave pending final disposition of the case, according to the Galveston Police Department.
Watson was indicted Tuesday on two counts of indecency.
The allegations against him first surfaced in February. The Galveston County Sheriff's Office investigated and Watson was charged March 12.
Watson joined the Galveston Police Department in September 2001 and was assigned to the Investigative Services Bureau.
