HOUSTON — A wrecker driver led police to the vehicle believed to be involved in a fatal hit-and-run on I-45 late Sunday, Houston police say.
The incident happened at about 10:20 p.m. on I-45 North near Highway 249, according to the Houston Police Department.
Police and paramedics responded to the freeway and found a male pedestrian on the ground. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A wrecker driver who earlier followed the driver believed to be involved reported the location of the suspect's parked vehicle. The black sedan was parked in the driveway of a home in the same area, not far from I-45 and Imperial Valley.
Police were seen looking over the car, which had damage to its front end and windshield. It also appeared to be leaking a fluid.
Charges have not been announced in the case at this time. The victim’s identity has also not been released.
