HOUSTON – The North Freeway has reopened after four cars, including a city vehicle, were involved a pile-up overnight.
This happened around midnight early Wednesday near Parker.
Houston Police say a man driving a pickup truck heading south lost control of his vehicle and slammed into the inside retaining wall. Then a white SUV right behind him slammed on her brakes, causing a chain reaction.
A city vehicle crashed into the back end of the SUV followed by a fourth vehicle that slammed into the back end of the city vehicle.
Police said the driver of the first pickup truck ran from the scene.
There were no injuries, but the city worker was transported as precaution.
