HOUSTON – Two suspects were arrested and two others remain at large after police say they stole narcotics from a Walmart pharmacy overnight.

According to the Houston Police Department, the incident started just before 3 a.m. Friday when four masked suspects broke into the pharmacy at the store located in the 8200 block of Barker Cypress.

Investigators said the suspects used crowbars to break and took a locker filled with narcotics. There were workers inside the store at the time of the break-in, but it is not clear if they saw the suspects.

However, there was a GPS device in the locker which allowed HPD and Harris County deputies to track the whereabouts of the suspects after they fled the scene.

Law enforcement officers caught up with the suspects in the Fifth Ward near Linn Street. That is where the suspects bailed out.

With the help of a K-9 unit and a helicopter, police were able to apprehend two of the four suspects.

Police said it will be up to the District Attorney’s Office to determine if they will be charged with a burglary or robbery.
