To some students, Yassin's Falafel House won't just deliver falafels. They will also deliver peace of mind.
Some schools and universities are beginning to close due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19, and some students are wondering how they will eat. Several may depend on meal programs that the schools provide.
So, Yassin's Falafel House partnered with Gateway Delivery to make sure these students can enjoy at least one meal during the week. The restaurant will offer one free meal daily, delivered to students who are a part of school lunch programs and have a program ID.
Students will need to order Yassin's Falafel House from Gateway Delivery and use a promo code for the meal. They must have a valid ID, according to a post on Yassin's Falafel House's Facebook page.
The program will run between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday through Friday beginning the week following Spring break.
They will be able to choose between a sandwich or a bowl, with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available. Deliveries will be available for students within five miles of their selected restaurant.
In the post on Facebook, Yassin's Falafel House also said that they are accepting volunteers to help with deliveries.
