Nonprofit food truck feeds furloughed TSA workers at Bush Airport

The nonprofit operates a free food truck that normally feeds hungry kids during school breaks but these days, they are feeding hungry adults for free too.

HOUSTON — Many TSA agents are still showing up to work despite not getting paid due to the ongoing government shutdown.

Nonprofit group, "Doing Our Part" showed up outside of Bush Intercontinental Airport on Thursday to provide lunch to the agents.

The organization operates a free food truck that normally feeds hungry kids during school breaks but these days, they are feeding hungry adults for free too.

More than 300 lunches were given out on Thursday.

Volunteers say they can see for certain there is a serious need here and they're making plans to be out at the airport again to serve lunches next week.
