Now You Know: Where to get luxury pet care for your furry friends

Whether you plan to leave your pet at home or at a top-of-the-line daycare, here's where you can find luxury pet care.

HOUSTON — Some people will do anything to pamper their pets and when we say pamper, we mean spoil.

KHOU’s Stephanie Whitfield toured several Houston businesses that offer only the finest for Houston’s furry friends.

Rover Oaks, located near NRG Stadium, offers private luxury suites with plush bedding and color TV’s to guests.

Storytime and gourmet treats are some of the extras they offer. Their doggie daycare is also as competitive as some kid care counterparts.

“We are not the least expensive in Houston by a long shot. We are able to offer amenities that other boarding facilities and daycares do not,” said Clare Ellington, General Manager at Rover Oaks Houston

The same can be said about Houston Dog Ranch, which sits on several acres in Spring Branch.

Pups never have to “ruff” it in their indoor, outdoor private lodges.

All have beds, televisions, security cameras, and some even have faux fireplaces. All guests can also play in the ranch’s pool.

“They’re out of their home environment, so there’s going to be a level of stress. We want to make sure its Zen-like for them,” said Tonia Whilden, owner of Houston Dog Ranch.

But why leave home at all?

There are businesses, like South By South Vets, that bring premiere pet care to you.

“Basically we have everything a traditional hospital would have except hospitalizations,” said Katie Eick, South By South Vets owner.

No really, they can do everything from dental work to surgeries on board their mobile office.

Eick says their prices are similar to what you’d find at normal veterinarian offices.

Last but not least, Haute Pets Mobile Grooming is also capitalizing on the growing concierge industry in Houston.

Their specialty is high-end hygiene.

“It’s very convenient, not only for the owner, but the pet as well,” said Tiffany Serna, Haute Pets Lead Groomer.
