GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas — Dickinson, roughly an hour southeast of Houston, is getting a new brewery. Flying Rhino Brewing Co., created by first-time business owner Ryan DeLaRosaand his partner, Matt Emmite, is set to open spring or summer 2020.

The brewery's taproom will have a capacity of between 60 and 80 people, but the 2-acre property will be able to hold much more through an expansive patio, with room for lawn games and more. DeLaRosa plans to hire a taproom manager, plus two to three other people.

DeLaRosa and Emmite are funding the project through their own money, investors and a loan through the Small Business Administration. For the building alone, DeLaRosa estimates they will spend $600,000 to $800,000.
