These companies are helping veterans transition into civilian life

HOUSTON — When you're in the military, so many parts of life are decided for you, from what to wear to where you live.

When you leave, it can be hard to adjust to a new life.

There are companies who want to help troops hit the ground running. Houston Training and Education Center and JDog Junk Removal & Hauling Houston are two of these organizations.

Terrance Bolton and Stephanie Boutte with the Houston Training and Education Center, and Tim Colomer with JDog Junk Removal & Hauling Houston stopped by Great Day Houston.

The Houston Training and Education Center is faster and less expensive than most four-year education institutions. HTEC offers several different certifications including HVAC and I.T. Certifications. HTEC also has a Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Program for veterans.
