The United Negro College Fund invests in today's youth

"A mind is a terrible thing to waste...but a wonderful thing to invest in".

HOUSTON - On Monday, November 5, Great Day Houston host, Deborah Duncan, spoke with Shawntell McWilliams the Gala Chair for United Negro College Fund Houston, and Anjelica Webster a scholarship recipient of the UNCF. The United Negro College Fund is the Nation's largest and most effective minority education organization. The organization has a three pronged approach through scholarships, financial support of historically black colleges and universities, and through advocacy & engagement.

UNCF Houston is celebrating it's 30th Anniversary this year. Their annual gala will take place Saturday, November 17 at the Hilton America's Hotel. For tickets, click here.
