The Trivago Guy, Tim Williams, performs his ode to Houston, "Magnolia City"

Houston native and "Trivago Guy," Tim Williams, talks his career and new music

HOUSTON — Born in Houston and attending Robert E. Lee High School, Tim Williams got the music and acting bug early in life.  Picking up a guitar as a teenager after Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin and KISS made an impact in his household, he also got into country music after watching the movie "Urban Cowboy."

After school, he moved to New York and guest starred in a number of TV shows, including "Law and Order," and soon had an opportunity to star in a movie in Germany.  Not knowing the language, he headed to Berlin to become a movie and TV star, and soon became the face of travel company Trivago.

Known for years as "The Trivago Guy," and continuing to accumulate success, he missed his home of Houston, and has now released an album called "Magnolia City," which is an ode to the city he loves so much.

He performs the title track for Great Day this morning...for more information on Tim Williams and "Magnolia City," log on to williamstim.com or follow him on social media: facebook.com/timwilliamsofficial | instagram.com/thetimwilliamstwitter.com/wimtilliams
