The Houston Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving tradition that helps neighbors in need

Frederick J. Goodall with BakerRipley explains how the Houston Turkey Trot is being used to serve Houston communities. Claudia Kreisle from race sponsor Phillips 66 joined to speak about the role the race plays in community wellness.

Frederick J. Goodall with BakerRipley visited Great Day Houston to give a preview of this years Houston Turkey Trot. He spoke about how the registrations and donations for the races benefit BakerRipley, formerly Neighborhood Centers, and the community organization programs they offer. Claudia Kreisle from Houston Turkey Trot race sponsor Phillips 66 joined Frederick and host Deborah Duncan to discuss why funding BakerRipley's variety of programs is so valuable to the communities of Houston. And of course Houston Turkey Trot mascot Sassy ran by!

The Houston Turkey Trot takes place Thanksgiving morning and registration is open. There are timed and untimed options, The Phillips 66 10K and the Phillips 66 5K. There is also a kids race option. For more info as well as to register go to HoustonTurkeyTrot.org.
