The Houston Pride Festival & Parade is back this year!

Co-presidents, Kendra Walker & Thasia Madison, join us on Great Day to talk about the Pride Houston outreach initiatives and awareness of the LGBTQ+ community

HOUSTON — Houston, the beat goes on! That's the theme for the 44th Annual Pride Houston Festival and Parade

The theme pays tribute to the trailblazers who inspired change and how not even a pandemic will stop the LGBTQ community from celebrating and fighting for equality.

With a rebrand and the return of the festival and parade, Pride in Houston is more than just a month.

Co-presidents Thasia Madison and Kendra Walker talked with Great Day Houston's Deborah Duncan about the commitment to the community.

"We are more than just June. We are all year round, so we rebranded into Pride 365, and that's where we get into the community and we engage with more local groups all year round," Walker said.

Pride 365 recently unveiled its grand marshals for the parade. Click here for the list.

The Pride Houston Festival and Parade will be held on Saturday, June 25 in downtown Houston.
