HOUSTON — For hundreds of years combined, Great Day Houston's live studio audience spent more time with children, than the children's parents did. Why? They were teachers.

Although they loved their jobs, retirement probably couldn't come soon enough for some of them. Teaching is a job that can be overwhelming at times. Former teachers Margaret Preston, Johnnie Robinson, and Marcy Cann appeared on Great Day Houston with a few more lessons to teach. All three are members of The Houston Association Of Retired Teachers. The Houston Association of Retired Teachers (HART), is a local unit of the Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA). The organization is dedicated to promoting educational excellence, volunteerism, and legislation favorable to retired and active teachers.
