HOUSTON — 5th generation Houstonian Sara Brook didn't take the direct route to baking expertise.  Although she loved being in the kitchen since she was a child, she went to the University of Texas and got her degree in Computer Science and Sociology.  Then, as she was studying for the LSAT, she decided everyone was too serious and ditched law school for sweets.

At just 21 years old, she started her first baking company, and everything she's done since has been sweeter than before.  Currently, on her third business, Dessert Gallery Bakery & Cafe, the award-winning pastry chef has a national following and is considered one of the best in the city.

From cakes and pies to cookies and cupcakes, Dessert Gallery also offers special diet options like gluten/dairy/nut / sugar-free options.

For Mother's Day, make sure to contact Sara and Dessert Gallery for a beautiful, customized cake to show the mom in your life how much she means to you.  They also do special sweets for any sort of theme party you can think of from Game Of Thrones, The Avengers, 4th of July, Graduation, Star Wars, sports and more.
