HOUSTON — More than 22,000 children are removed from their homes by Child Protective Services in the state of Texas every year. Many with little to nothing once they're placed in foster care according to Carrying Hope.

Kristin Finan and her husband are co-founders of the organization, which now has a Houston chapter. The two have been fostering since March 2015. Finan found out that the kids came with nothing, saw the need and decided to create an organization to help.

Now they would like the community's help for their 2nd Annual Hope Pack Drive. It's happening July 14th at the Quillian Center Swimming Pools at 6pm.

For more information on the drive or how you can volunteer visit their website carryinghope.com and follow them on Facebook
