Greenawald's Service Inc. is helping connect veterans with service dogs

For most of us dogs are pets, but for Greenawald's Service, a group of specially trained dogs are companions, friends, therapists, and life savors.

HOUSTON — On Tuesday, May 14th, Great Day Houston host, Deborah Duncan, sat down with Stacy Thomas, the founder of Greenawald's Service Inc. Thomas founded the nonprofit to combine her two passions, helping dogs and helping veterans. The organization rescues dogs from euthanasia and helps connect veterans with service dogs.

There are many ways to help Greenawald's Service give back to the community! They accept donations of dog food, kennels and supplies, and they are always looking for veterinary care sponsorships. Also, anyone interested in fostering, volunteering or adopting should please contact them here

Greenwald's Service Inc. is hosting a Memorial Day Weekend Funday this Saturday at 8 am at Bear Creek Pioneers Park. For more information, click here.
