Celebrating the Twelve Days of Christmas

The non profit shares blessings with others through collective effort, charitable activities and community involvement

HOUSTON - On Tuesday, November 13, Great Day Houston host Deborah Duncan sat down with mother/daughter duo Gayla & Donya Gardner, the founders of The Twelve Days of Christmas, Inc. The nonprofit was founded 20 years ago after a conversation between Gayla & Donya about the deep meaning of the Holiday Season and the true spirit of Christmas. Inspired by the “12 Days of Christmas" song, 12 “parties with a purpose” were held. Invited guests brought a donation, and items were sorted and organized and delivered to 6 selected families.

The organization has expanded to serve communities throughout the year by providing uniforms, backpacks and grade appropriate school supplies, as well as Easter holiday baskets.

On Sunday, The Twelve Days of Christmas, Inc. will host a "Legacy Tea" recognizing generations of generosity and service. The Tea will take place from 2:30pm - 5pm at the Junior League Of Houston. For more information, visit twelvedaysofchristmas.org
