Add a little color to your hair for Halloween

Michael Kemper and Sarah Ward showed us how to have fun with your hair this Halloween

Michael Kemper and Sarah Ward from D-Vine Salon and Spa showed us how to boost your look this Halloween with a little hair color. They shared some tips to a great ‘do so your night doesn’t turn into a Halloween horror story.

If you don’t want to color your own hair, but you’d like a different look, wear a wig, or add a hair piece to your existing locks.

If you’d like to add some color to your hair, Michael Kemper demonstrated how to layer different colors into your hair so that the different colors will stand out on their own.

There are a few tips to keeping your hair healthy if you do add color. If you tease your hair, condition before you shampoo all of the teased hair out. This will prevent breakage. If you have pre-lightened hair, spray some hairspray on your hair first before spraying color. Do not sleep in your hair if it is sprayed with a color. It could stain the pillowcase, your skin, and hair if left on too long. If you use rubber bands on your hair, cut them out, do not pull and yank them out. This will prevent breakage.
