Reports: Nikki Reed, Ian Somerhalder welcome first child

It's a girl for Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder!

According to E! and People, the actors welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Bodhi Soleil Reed Somerhalder, on July 25.

The news comes after the married couple, famous for their respective vampire projects (Twilight for her, The Vampire Diaries for him), announced in May that they were expecting.

"Hi Little One," Reed, 29, wrote in the caption of a picturesque Instagram post, "How is it possible to love someone so much already? All I know for sure is it's the strongest feeling I've ever felt."

So far, the new parents haven't posted about their bundle of joy. That's probably because, as Reed told Fit Pregnancy, she and Somerhalder, 38, planned "one month of silence" after giving birth.

"Just the three of us, no visitors, and we’re turning off our phones too, so there’s no expectation for us to communicate," she said. "Otherwise, every five minutes it would be, ‘How are you feeling? Can we have a picture?’ You don’t get those first 30 days back, and we want to be fully present.”

Reed and Somerhalder's reps didn't immediately respond to USA TODAY's request for comment on the news.
