Katherine Center always loved reading and writing. In fact, it was 80’s pop group Duran Duran that inspired her to write her first novel in 6th grade. Since then, she continued to write and went on to major in creative writing at Vassar College and was accepted into the creative writing program at University of Houston for graduate school.
Center’s first book, The Bright Side of Disaster, came after her daughter was born and her sister dared her to write a funny novel about motherhood. She has since written five other novels and her new book How to Walk Away hit the New York Times Best Sellers list this summer.
How to Walk Away is the story of a woman who has a bright future ahead of her, but suddenly everything is taken away from her in an instant. It’s an unforgettable love story about finding joy even in the darkest of circumstances.
