HOUSTON — A contestant in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo barbecue contest was found dead Saturday morning, a rodeo spokesperson confirmed.
The contestant, who was not named publicly, appears to have died of natural causes based on the medical examiner evaluation, said a RodeoHouston official.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the contestant's family," Rider's statement said.
