HOUSTON — As the intrepid reporter and fill-in host for Houston's only local morning talk show, Great Day Houston, Cristina Kooker fast became one of Houston’s best loved morning personalities. KHOU-TV CH. 11 brought her on board in 2005 because she is talented, hardworking and really relates to the audience.
For the past decade she has been all over the city covering the best events, fund-raisers, local restaurants and hot spots live from the scene. On a daily basis she gets to tell the stories of our community in the city she loves so much.
Before joining Great Day Houston in 2005, she worked as a reporter and fill-in host for many local news magazine shows. She got her start while getting her degree in Marketing and Media at Abilene Christian University as one of four hosts on the nationally syndicated talk show, Teen Talk.
Cristina is a lover of her faith, her family, her friends and chocolate chip cookies! In her time at home she spends with her husband and three children, working out and baking in the kitchen!
