This will be the second big winter storm for the northeast and New England in just as many weeks. Tonight, we're watching the storm develop in the nations mid section. The corn belt and the wheat belt get snowed on tonight as the storm brews and heads east.
As it reaches the east coast, it will pull moisture off the Atlantic ocean. This process energizes the system, deepens the low pressure center and cranks up the winds. They'll gust to 60+ mph on the coast by Wednesday evening. That Atlantic moisture will also turn to snow in the cold sector. Many areas can expect 6"-12" of new snow. You're all invited to Houston where it's gorgeous!
