HOUSTON – If you were hoping to take in the annual J.J. Watt Charity Classic, you’ll have to wait until next year.
The Houston Texans star tweeted Sunday that he will not be hosting the charity softball event this year, but that it would return next year.
Watt said he is taken this time to focus on his recovery and getting his body ready for the season.
The Texans star also explained that he wanted to focus on the ongoing hurricane recovery efforts and his after-school programs.
Watt raised more than $37 million in relief funds last year following Hurricane Harvey.
