To win a national championship is special…especially back-to-back.
Michael C. Rodriguez, 7-year old son of Michael and Christine Rodriguez residents of The Heights, has once again won 1st place (gold) for the 6-7 year old advance division in Taekwondo at the 2010 National AAU Youth & Adult Championship Tournament held in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. from June 28th to July 2nd. He won the AAU National Championship last year in his first year of competing at the national level. Michael is a red belt on the G-Force competition team and trains at Young Brothers Taekwondo on Bellaire Blvd under the guidance of Head Coach Gianni Giambi, 3rd Dan. Michael loves the sport of Taekwondo and his goal is to compete in the 2020 Olympics.
