THE BUCKINGHAM CELEBRATES ANNIVERSARY

The Buckingham senior living community recently hosted an evening full of elegance to commemorate the community’s five year anniversary. “A Night to Remember” was the theme for the event, and residents came in their most fashionable attire, with women donning stylish dresses and men in tuxedos. The festivities began with a cocktail hour and followed with a five-star dinner.

“The anniversary celebration was the perfect setting to recognize our wonderful residents who have made The Buckingham the success story that it is,” said Cathy Lightfoot, director of sales and marketing at The Buckingham. “We’ve been serving the Houston community for five years, and we look forward to many more years to come.”

In honor of the community’s five year anniversary, The Buckingham made a $5,000 donation to Celebrations of Reading, a fundraising tradition that benefits the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. Mrs. Bush recently visited the community, where she gave a speech and spent time with a few of her close friends, who are residents.
The Buckingham is Houston’s premier life care senior living community located in the Memorial neighborhood. Situated on a 17-acre site along Buffalo Bayou at 8580 Woodway Drive, The Buckingham offers resort-style services and amenities for active, independent seniors, as well as all levels of health care services on-site at The Plaza at The Buckingham. The community features 205 independent living residences; 43 private assisted living apartments; 16 private memory support apartments; and 60 private skilled nursing suites.
