I have found a solution to the BP Oil Spill that actually works. Absorbing oil is a tricky thing, I have found gelatin and oil to attract each other. The oil absorbes the gelatin instantly and forms a hard rubber mass. The gelatin does not disolve in cool ocean water, it only is absorbed in the oil. This solution completely 100% extracts the oil out of the water leaving the ocean water clean. Gelatin is environmentally friendly and will not harm any aquatic animals. While the oil hardens it falls to the ocean floor and can be pumped out of the ocean or cought in a net. This will not allow the oil to wash up on the shore and contaminate everything. The oil that has been washed up on the shore already can be sprinkled with the gelatin and scooped into a container to be disposed of properly. I smelled the water after I extracted the mass of oil out of it. It did not have a smell to it and it did not feel greasy. I need to get this out to BP so we can get this oil up immediately.
