There is a large Centennial Cactus growing in my yard at 12431 S. Garden, 77071 and it has bloomed it's flowers. The odd thing is these plants may live 30 to 40 years and seldom produce any flowers and when they do, the plant dies. It is in it's dying stage right now as you see the cactus thorns are drupping downward. But it is a beautiful sight to see for a plant that will be no more.
