My mom and I have always been closebut never as we havethe past 13 months. My twin daughters were born 6 weeks early and she was by my side every painful day while the girls were in the NICU. She was there to console me when I got the news of my girls was not going to make it. But she did make it! She was there when I got a painful infection and she became my nurse getting up early every morning to dress my wound and stayed up later to do the same for months never complaining. She was there when I was so exhausted with a colicky twin and a 2 year old who needed some attention. On of my girls has been hospitalized this year 5 times and she was there for comfort, meals, prayers and everytime she was sedated so I would not have to go it alone. The sad part of this story is that she is retiring and is moving away this month. I will so miss my best friend because se is the greatest! I would not have made it without her.
