Mom resting her eyes:).

A Mother Like No Other!!

My mother Brenda is hands-down the greatest mom ever! For as long as I can remember, she's been putting the needs of others ahead of her own needs. When I was 9, my father had his leg amputated following a trucking accident. I remember my mother putting her plans for nursing school on hold to care not only for my disabled father, but for my 8-year-old sister and me as well.
When terminal cancer struck my great-grandmother, mom moved her into our home to live on hospice until her death 5 months later. No matter what's going on in her life, mom never appears to have a "bad day". No matter how tired she is or how swollen her feet are, none of that stops her from catering to her grandkids. It's always funny to see her asleep in her recliner while her 4-year-old grandson is combing her hair & her 10-year-old granddaughter is reading her a story.
Mom is 58-years-old now, and although she never got to attend nursing school, she's still the most "nurturing" person I know. Not only is she easy to talk to, she's a great listener & I don't know what I'd do without her.
