I have no pic of my mother on the computer and I do not know how to use a scanner. My mother is awesome becasue she has given to others all her life loved one or stranger. (her dream was to be a Navy Nurse but her husband and family took priorty in her life) She sacrificed her life and going back to sch to take care of her husband and children. I am so grateful I was not a latch key kid. She took my dads mother out of a neglectful nursing home and gave his mother 24 hr care even when she could not speak ; my mother pinned a fresh gardenia flower on her lapel so she could smell it. When my dad got kidney disease she took care of him. When the convalescent center neglected him , we were horrified. She went to his bedside and nursed him for 2 more yrs until he died. Then she had to recover physically from that. Even in her loniliness and darkness that folloed his death, she continued to help others in need. I have wanted to do something special for her but I got sick and had a lung removed and then well you guessed...she nursed me back to health. If someone is sick or in struggle she nurtures, takes a hot meal or sends an uplifting card in the mail. Her oven went out and she cannot afford to fix it. Does STAR Furniture have ovens? She bakes in a little toaster oven and it makes me sad after all the cookies and cakes she has baked for the sick, elderly and the ones who grieve the loss of a loved one.
