Veterans at Parkway Place received special recognition for their service at an intergenerational ceremony to commemorate Veteran’s Day. 53 veterans, mostly from World War II, and three Purple Heart recipients all live at Parkway Place in Houston, and the senior living community put their pictures and mementos on display to pay tribute. In addition, veterans came together for lunch, and many went to West Briar Middle School for a reception and Veteran’s Day program. The veterans shared their stories with students, and they sat on the stage during a moving ceremony.
