Heroes for Children is a non-profit that provides financial and social assistance to families, within the state of Texas, with children (0-22 yrs of age) battling cancer. The assistance Heroes for Children provides directly to families helps relieve some of the strain and stress during this difficult time in their lives. Whether it is to pay a medical bill, buy gas for the frequent trips to the hospital, or keep a family from having their electricity turned off, Heroes for Children is committed to helping families. The Family Movie Day is one of Heroes for Children annual events that supports the families of Heroes for Children. This event gives the families a night away from the stress of the current situation to have fun with other families who are facing the same kinds of situations. This year, families got to spend their evening watching the new Pixar Movie "Brave" and playing fun, movie-themed activities.
