Residents of The Buckingham senior living community came together for an elegant dinner and wine tasting event to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. The group gathered in the Stratford Theatre, where Mr. Rob May, CSW, presented a sampling of wines paired with a gourmet dinner prepared by The Buckingham’s own Chef Mike Hernanedez. The event raised $1,200 for the local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, part of a larger effort for The Buckingham to raise funds to compliment their fundraising efforts for the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk coming up in October.
“It was such an elegant evening and the food and wine pairings were outstanding,” said Deborah Mahrt, director of lifestyles at The Buckingham. “The fact that we were able to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association made the night even more spectacular.”
