Following an informative presentation on the Isles of Greece and Crete, residents of The Buckingham senior living community came together to enjoy a Greek-themed party at the community’s first Go Greek dinner event. Residents enjoyed authentic Greek food such as baba ganoush, lamb shank, Greek style grilled chicken and traditional Greek dessert, baklava. All of the courses were prepared by The Buckingham’s own executive chef, Mike Hernandez. Following dinner, residents danced the night away to customary Greek music provided by George Kiditis.
“Our residents always enjoy a good party, and our Go Greek event was no exception,” said Deborah Mahrt, director of lifestyles at The Buckingham. “Smiles and laughter filled the dining room as our residents came out to enjoy a beautiful evening reminiscent of one in Greece.”
