Residents of The Buckingham help raise money to assist young girls further their college education

BUCKINGHAM RESIDENTS SUPPORT LOCAL GIRLS

Ladies of The Buckingham senior living community recently attended the Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Foundation luncheon, held annually to help raise scholarship funds for Harris County girls attending colleges and universities. The Buckingham resident Lyn Flynt was a founding trustee and the first president of the foundation. To date, the foundation has raised more than $1.5 million to help girls continue their college education.

“Our residents are some of the most giving people I know,” said Cathy Lightfoot, director of sales and marketing at The Buckingham. “These women are donating not only their money, but their time as well, to help women of younger generations further their education. It’s truly inspiring!”
