Ellen Elizabeth Kaye

A Tribute to Our Mom

Our Mom - Ellen Elizabeth Kaye - caring, loving, giving. She is the nucleus of every Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthday, 4th of July, graduation, and family gathering. Mom is the one who cheers the loudest for her Longhorns – whether it’s football, basketball, or baseball. She loves those slot machines and Vegas will never lose its glitter for her. Through times of laughter and sorrow, she is the glue that holds our family together. A native Houstonian, Mom graduated from the University of Houston and served during WWII. She is a registered nurse and recently retired after 60 years! We don’t know how she was able to do it – working nights, sleeping a few hours when she got home, caring for five children, housekeeping, and always having supper ready when our Dad got home from work. Mom made each of us feel special. As it turns out, she is the one who is special. We love her dearly and always will.
Happy Mother’s Day, Mom! And thanks for everything! Mary, Diane, Teresa, and Karen
