As a kid I would watch cartoons all morning Saturday and some on Sunday. I always looked forward to the afternoon matinee which was usually Godzilla, King Kong, or some other classic. My father began just walking up to the tv and as he turned the channel would say: "let's watch the game" against my protests. This simple act turned me away from football at an early age and I never looked back. Today, I celebrate super bowl Sunday by visiting a restaurant I normally would like to visit on Sunday but they are just too busy due to the 'after church' crowds. Thanks to the multitudes of super bowl parties at someone's home, I can enter any restaurant and be seated immediately. This Sunday, we went to a restaurant downtown and brought Baskin along to walk in the parks afterward. It was such a beautiful day and we had loads of fun watching him experiencing new things. We had a much better time than sitting at home watching stupid football.
