Sophie our English Bulldog was destined to be a Flying Monkey when our now 4 1/2 year old insisted for over a year she was to be Dorothy this coming Halloween. She hand picked each family member as to exactly what character they were to be. And Sophie just fit the Flying Monkey perfectly. Of course you can't just purchase one of the Flying Monkey costumes off the internet... so I had to get creative as to how to create a costume for my Bulldog which is very broad chested and slim in the midsection. Pulling together a couple of costumes, I had a vision in sight. Now, I am not a seamstress- heck... I don't even own a sewing machine! So, with a seam ripper in hand- a vision in my mind- and needle and thread my Flying Monkey costume came to life!
