HOUSTON – Scattered showers started popping up along the coast and west of Houston early Monday, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.

There's a 50-percent chance for rain Monday with a forecast high of 78 degrees.

The greatest chance for rain is in our afternoon hours today.

Tuesday the rain chance goes away as the sun comes out for the rest of the week.

Our daytime highs this week will remain in the upper-70s to low-80s with overnight lows in the upper-50s.

The next chance for rain, a slight one, returns on Sunday.
