Houston Forecast: Nice today in mid-70s

KHOU 11 Meteorologist Chita Johnson is tracking an increase in the rain chance

HOUSTON – Tuesday will be another beautiful day in the Houston area but with warmer temps, according to KHOU 11 Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

Temps will rise from the 50s this morning into the mid-70s by Tuesday afternoon under a mix of sun and clouds.

Wednesday there's a 20-percent rain chance as we approach 80 degrees.

Late Wednesday and early morning Thursday is when another front should blow through. This will knock daytime temps back into the 60s and 70s with a 60-percent chance for showers Thursday.

Good Friday will be dry with pleasant temperatures.

Saturday and Sunday scattered rain return with mild temperatures. Johnson says you may want to reschedule your Easter egg hunt for later in the day Sunday as most of the rain, a 30-percent chance, will be in the morning hours.

We dry out again in time for the start of the next work week.
