HOUSTON – It will be chilly and partly cloudy as Houstonians ring in the New Year, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
Tuesday’s forecast high is 54 degrees. By midnight the temperatures will have dropped to 46 degrees.
“We should be dry tonight,” said Johnson. “By Wednesday evening we’re going to welcome in a chance for showers, which will continue until early Thursday morning, and then we start to clear things out by the end of the week.”
On New Year’s Day there’s a 30-percent chance for rain with a forecast high around 60 degrees.
Overnight temperatures will remain cold through the weekend, but in our daytime hours Saturday and Sunday we’ll be in the mid-60s.
