HOUSTON -– Wednesday brings another morning of chilly morning temps, but this will probably be the last one like it for a while.

Temperatures across the Houston area were in the 30s and 40s early Wednesday, but the rest of this week our morning temps will be in the 50s and 60s.

“We’ll see a change this afternoon, and that will be the winds,” said Johnson. “We’ll have a shift in the winds from out of the southeast later today. So that will increase our humidity and cause warmer temperatures.”

This afternoon we’ll top out near 70 degrees. Thursday will be slightly warmer, still under sunny skies.

On Friday the clouds return with a chance for rain through the weekend.

Right now it looks like Sunday has our best chance for rain at 40 percent. By Monday, our afternoon temps will top out at 80 degrees.
