HOUSTON -- A strong thunderstorm brought hail to areas west of Houston early Wednesday, but the rest of the day is looking pretty nice, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
"Early this morning we had reports of hail and damaging winds, but now we're watching this rain move right off the coast," said Johnson.
Scattered rain showers moved through the city during the morning rush hour commute. Most of the wet stuff was out of the city by 9 a.m. Our daytime high today will be in the mid-70s under a mix of cloudy and sunny skies.
Thursday we'll have a mix of clouds and sunshine with early morning temps in the low-50s and daytime temps in the 70s. Friday is a little warmer, bringing a slight chance for rain.
The clouds carry over into Saturday, but we'll still see a lot of sunshine as Sunday approaches. There's only a slight chance for rain this weekend as temps drop into the low-70s for a beautiful start to next week.
