HOUSTON –- As the evening hours approached Sunday most of southeast Texas was clear of a line of thunderstorms that moved through Houston earlier in the day.

Some areas north of the city saw small hail hit the ground, but serious reports of damage were reported. A severe thunderstorm warning was allowed to expire at 5:30 p.m.

A 50-percent chance for rain Sunday will quickly drop to 20-percent heading into Monday. We’ll start the week cloudy and warm, with daytime temperatures around 80 degrees.

Tuesday the daytime temps drop into the 60s, and the rain chance goes back up to 50-percent.

The chance for rain carries over into Wednesday and even Thursday, but things will clear up nicely for next week.
