HOUSTON -- Another Red Flag Warning is in effect today for several counties, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

Dry wind gusts of around 15 to 20 miles per hour will create a fire danger until around 7 p.m. Monday.

This afternoon's temperatures will top out in the mid-60s.

“Even though we are going to be cool today, we do have a warming trend,” said Johnson. “The end of this week is just going to be gorgeous for spring breakers.”

Tuesday our afternoon high will be around 70 degrees with early morning temps in the low-40s.

By this weekend we will be in the mid- to upper-70s.

There’s no chance for rain in the seven-day forecast.
