HOUSTON -- It’s shaping up to be a wet weekend.
Some parts of the area saw a shower or two Friday afternoon. Overnight, temps will drop and hover around 60.
On Saturday, a developing storm system out West moves into the Houston area. If you’re attending outdoor events this weekend, be sure to take a rain coat or umbrella with you.
KHOU 11 News Meteorologist David Paul said there’s a 40-percent chance of rain on Saturday. There will be brief showers in the morning, but rain chances increase later in the afternoon.
On Sunday, the rain showers will be on and off. You can expect the periods of heavy rain to be brief. The rain will clear out Monday.
Looking ahead to the holiday, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist David Paul said it’s going to be cold. The extended forecast also shows a chance of rain going into Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
